Sveti Vlas
St. Vlas
is a great combination of a pretty Bulgarian village and a modern beach
destination located at the foot of the Balkan mountain range. It is excellently
located to provide a quiet restful holiday, yet if it's the noise and bustle of
nightlife you want, Sunny Beach is just up the road.
There are
many restaurants in the village itself, some touristy type shops, 3 or 4
supermarkets and as many internet cafes so you can keep in touch with family or
business while you are away.
The
excellent beach is 100 metres from the apartment and borders on the Marina.
The
Marina is currently being used by a large number of boat and yacht owners and
has about 300 berths. There are about half a dozen good quality restaurants, a
number of shops, a top class hotel and casino.
Some
construction work continues in Vlas but no heavy lorries are allowed anywhere
in St Vlas, nor is major construction work allowed to take place from about
mid-May till mid-October
this applies to the whole area, including Sunny
Beach and Nessebar.
At the far
end, and above, the Marina an amphitheatre is currently under construction and
should be ready for the 2008 holiday season. A variety of entertainment is
planned to be held there as well as a kindergarten for children.
A ferry
operates each hour on the half-hour from the Marina to take you directly to the
port of Nessebar at a cost of 10 lev per head. It is also planned that boats
will be available for hire from the Marina. |
